Facilitation of Executive Leadership Program

Grit Partners collaborated with Impact International (now Impact) to co-facilitate a transformative 9-month leadership development initiative – the Accelerate Leadership Program. The program targeted mid-level managers within a multinational corporation, aiming to equip them with the essential leadership skills and insights necessary to become influential leaders who drive and shape the future of the business.
Program Objectives:
The primary goal of the program was to identify and nurture top talents within the organization, empowering them to ascend into leadership roles. The program focused on developing a comprehensive skill set, fostering strategic thinking, and instilling the capacity to navigate complex business landscapes. Participants were expected to emerge as proactive leaders capable of steering the company toward sustained success.
Program Design:
The program unfolded over a 9-month period, utilizing a multi-faceted approach to cater to diverse learning styles and preferences.
1. Kick-Off – In-person Training in Kigali (3 days):
• The program commenced with an immersive 3-day in-person training in Kigali. This kickoff session provided participants with a foundational understanding of the program's objectives, expectations, and an opportunity to practice skills and establish connections with fellow participants.

2. Monthly Virtual Training Sessions:
  • Following the kickoff, the program seamlessly transitioned into a series of monthly virtual training sessions. These sessions were designed to delve into specific leadership competencies, industry insights, and relevant case studies.

• The virtual format facilitated participation from a geographically dispersed group of mid-level managers, ensuring accessibility and flexibility in the learning process.

3. 1:1 Executive Coaching Sessions:
• Complementing the group training sessions, each participant received personalized 1:1 executive coaching session. These sessions were tailored to address individual leadership development needs, allowing participants to receive targeted guidance and support.
Methodology:
The program's curriculum was crafted to blend theoretical knowledge with practical applications, promoting experiential learning. Interactive workshops, group discussions, stretch assignments and real-world simulations were integrated into the training sessions to enhance engagement and ensure the applicability of acquired skills in the workplace.
Outcomes:
1. Leadership Skills Enhancement:
• Participants demonstrated significant improvement in leadership competencies, including strategic thinking, decision-making, and effective communication.

• The combination of in-person and virtual training allowed for a well-rounded learning experience, catering to diverse learning styles.

2. Network and Collaboration:
• The in-person kickoff in Kigali, Rwanda facilitated the establishment of a strong professional connection and network among participants, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange beyond the formal training sessions.

3. Individual Growth and Readiness for Leadership Roles:
• Through personalized executive coaching sessions, participants reported increased self-awareness and confidence in navigating leadership challenges.

• Many program participants reported readiness for promotion within the organization, reflecting the program's success in identifying and grooming high- potential talent.
By combining in-person and virtual training with individualized coaching, the program successfully prepared mid-level managers for leadership roles, contributing to the long-term success and sustainability of the multinational corporation. The collaboration exemplifies the power of strategic partnerships in delivering impactful and transformative leadership development initiatives.
